Ensuring that core competencies are met and with the goal to prevent sexual exploitation, this presentation addresses all forms of current sexual exploitation.
Students will be guided through peer exploitation, healthy boundaries and consent through unique activities aimed at building empathy and resilience. These concepts will be woven throughout the discussion of various forms of exploiters and current trends.
In addition, self exploitation trends such as sexting, and self directed online exploitative behaviours will be covered and analyzed while educating students on the laws and their objective to protect youth. Students will also learn about online sexual predation, grooming tactics, and healthy online boundaries.
This presentation will build resiliency towards all forms of sexual exploitation and human trafficking while engaging students through humour, games, and activities.

- The average age of a victim targeted is 14-17 years old
- Sextortion rates have tripled every year since the pandemic
- 42% of teens who sexted had it shared without consent
- More teens are being groomed into using certain platforms and apps for self exploitation
This presentation addresses all of the above issues and more, by discussing consent, healthy boundaries, and internet dynamics. With these skillsets, youth can truly be immune to all forms of online exploitation!

Human trafficking is Canada’s best hidden crime, with its most common form being sexual exploitation. Human trafficking and sexual exploitation are very local issues in Canada, with 90% of exploiters being Canadian and 90% of victims being Canadian. Taught by an expert who has dealt with youth victims, students will learn about the different forms of sexual exploitation such as grooming into trafficking, exploiter tactics online and in person, as well as peer sexual exploitation through local case examples and engaging activities.
In addition, students will critically think about barriers and vulnerabilities to sexual exploitation, understand how the law impacts the issue, and learn about how their actions can make an impact.
This presentation engages a heavy topic through multimedia, games, and activities.

This is no ordinary "consent" talk!
All About Consent discusses consent as a life skill and as something that is tangible and desirable. Students learn key concepts including: the gradient of consent, how to practice it, accepting rejection, how to be an active bystander, and how consent can be applied digitally including situations of sexting.
These key concepts and relevant skill sets are learnt by engaging students through games, activities, and multimedia, while covering core competencies required by the Ministry of Education.

During these primary years, where children are beginning to have more access to the internet, ensuring internet safety will be deeply connected to a child's ability to define healthy vs unhealthy situations, as well as understanding what consent looks like in person, and digitally. By educating children on healthy boundaries and consent, we also build empathy and a moral compass regarding respectful online behaviours.
